Botanical Name: Rosa canina
Botany and Origins: Rosa canina, which can be found in many parts of the word and native to Europe, Asia and North Africa. This hips of Roses are the fruiting bodies - the reproductive part of these exalted flowers - that develop post-fertilization; when petals fall, the hips enlarge with seeds that are notoriously rich in Vitamin C.
Method of Extraction: The oil is extracted out from the seeds of the wild rose.
Cultivation: Certified Organic
Uses: Clinical trials have found rosehip oil to be extremely beneficial in tissue regeneration for conditions such as burns, facial wrinkles and the treatment of scars following surgery. The oil has been used to reduce wrinkles and signs of premature aging. It also helps to counter drying effects of the sun which are usually noticed by the fine wrinkles or crow feet around the eyes and mouth. It can be used to attenuate scars (both surgical or accidental), by reducing the redness or hyperpigmentation, reducing the formation of keloid scar tissue formed and loosening up fibrous cords. It is believed that these important functions in the regeneration and repair of skin tissue are due to the high levels of linoleic and linolenic fatty acids. The presence of retin A or retinoic acid may account for the effects that rosehip oil has on the skin. The colour in this oil indicates the presence of beneficial carotenoids.

How to use
Carrier oils are the foundation of aromatherapy and natural skincare. They nourish, protect, and help deliver the benefits of essential oils safely to your skin.
1. For Facial Care
Apply a few drops of your chosen carrier oil to clean, damp skin. Massage gently until fully absorbed. You may use it alone or as a base to dilute essential oils (typically 1–2 drops of essential oil per 5 mL of carrier oil).
2. For Body Massage
Blend 5–10 drops of essential oil into 15–20 mL of carrier oil. Warm the oil slightly between your palms before massaging into the skin to ease tension and promote relaxation.
3. For Body Moisturising
Smooth a small amount over damp skin after showering to lock in moisture and soften the skin naturally.
4. For Bath Rituals
Mix 1 tablespoon of carrier oil with your preferred essential oils, then add the blend to warm bath water. Swirl to disperse before stepping in.
